- I’ve been a slacker this whole week. I haven’t walked since Saturday. I only have 13 miles left on the current challenge and I can’t be motivated enough to crank it out.
- Sunday, Gil and I went to get his glasses and International Plaza again, and again there is an issue with the insurance. So, no glasses again. After that, we went over to the Disney Store, which was in the process of closing. The last day of liquidation…not much left. Spent a couple hours at the zoo, but it was very busy…they were doing some type of festival and the crowd was twice the norm. After that, we went and checked out the new REI store. Which is awesome and I’m, super happy to have one close by. I didn’t buy anything but I started making a list.
- This week at work, I finally got all my permissions and have started working the chargeback PIN program. Its very simple and work that I would tend to enjoy, but my work-from-home set up isn’t ideal. The position I have to sit in, in order to be the most efficient on the spreadsheet isn’t comfortable. Its awkward and hurts my back and sometimes my arms. If this was long term, I would invest real money into a real office set up, but I can’t justify spending 500-1000 on a new desk and chair for a little over 12 more weeks of work. I think I’m still faster than the others, so maybe not everyone else is worried about being the ‘most efficient’ and fastest. Maybe I’ll start being more comfortable and worry less about efficiency.
- I got my catalytic converter fixed finally. I no longer need to buy the most expensive gas, although I’ll stick with reputable gas dealers. Don’t want to get that carbon build up again. And good news! They complete thing didn’t need to be replaced, only half….so the bill was half. That saved me $600. My breaks need fixed though, so I’m saving it for that.
- I only had less than 13 miles left on my latest challenge and in all reality I should have knocked it out during the week. But I didn’t do anything. I tried to do it Saturday but Myakka was hot and I only did 11.5 miles. Still needed to head to the parents for taxes and just didn’t want to wind up that last mile+. Finished it on Sunday, but I didn’t put any effort into this challenge. At one point I was over 30 miles ahead and I ended up less than 3 miles ahead. I think I’m getting bored with walking. I have some new books and that makes it better, but the weather isn’t awesome. I think the heat makes me lazy. I may need to come up with some alternatives for the near future. I have the Star Wars 5k, 10k and half coming up next month. I’ve signed up for the Paris marathon on April 11. I have eight virtual races I signed up for that aren’t starting until mid April (or at least not shipping, I guess I could run them whenever I wanted). The races vary from 5k to 20k. I need to knock them out before it gets too warm.
- I gained 3lbs around birthday weekend and haven’t lost anything since then. I know I’ve been focused a lot more on getting my protein as I failed protein again this month, but I really need to start moving more. This entire month has been lazy .
