Interesting things we did this week
- Spend Sunday at Epcot Center. It’s the first time I’ve been in a Disney Park in nearly a year and the first time I’ve been at a WDW park in 3 years. I miss the Epcot festivals and it was the Festival of the Arts. There was some fantastic pieces. I missed some of the artists I’ve seen in the past but there were new piece that went on my “if I win the lottery” list. We also spent way too much on food. I love the outdoor kitchens where people can explore the culinary arts. We got to try:
- France Pavilion
- Crème de Brie en Petit Pain: Warm Creamy Brie in a House-made Bread Bowl
- Croissant à la Truffle Noir d’Hiver: Black Winter Truffle Croissant
- Moelleux à la Framboise et aux Chocolats Valrhona: Molten Chocolate and Raspberry Cake with Pure Origin Valrhona Chocolates
- Frozen French Martini: Grey Goose, Vodka
- Italy Pavilion
- L’Aragosta: Lobster Ravioli with Vanilla-Saffron Cream Sauce and Shredded Chili Peppers
- Canada Pavilion
- Wild Mushroom Risotto, Aged Parmesan, Truffle Shavings and Zinfandel Reduction
- Salmon and Cream Gâteau with Egg Yolk Cream, Paddlefish Caviar and Micro-Herbs
- Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta
- Pop Eats! Pavilion
- Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese
- Refreshment Port Pavilion
- Lobster Poutine: Lobster, Lobster Bisque Cheese Sauce, Pickled Jalapeños, and Citrus Cream
- Refreshment Outpost
- Plant-based Bratwurst with Spicy Turmeric Aïoli, Coffee Barbecue Jackfruit and Slaw
- Warm Brown Sugar Stuffed Pretzel
- Getting back on diet after my first cheat day in many months was a little tough. I was hungry most of the time in the first few days but hoping that settles down by the end of the week.
- I started out heavier post-Disney, but went on a Veg strong couple of days midweek and not only did I loose the weight, I’ve broke my plateau!!! I’m down to 162lbs!
