Interesting things we did this
I bought a State Park Pass on Sunday at Lake Louisa State Park. I did about 5 miles there, many of the paths are good and solid but they also have trails that are shared by horses, and there is a lot of sand. I really hate sand. It made walking harder and I got tired a lot easier. But I’d like to take Gil to some of the parks, it’ll be good for him to get out and about. I probably should have got a family pass, but I’m not sure how often he’ll be going with me. But having a family pass may pay for itself if we do Homosassa or Weeki Wachee, both of those parks have an admission fee of $13. I’m not sure, I’ll have to put some thought into it.
Had lots of catching up to do on my Carmino De Santiago Challenge, but I was able to make up the time I missed from the bad weather and completed it on December 31, 2020.
I signed up for 5 Virtual Challenges for 2021. They range in short to long and I’ll do them one at a time, with the exception of the 2021 Challenge. I will set an annual overall goal and all miles will go towards it. I’m hoping it will cover the whole year.
I have 3 Disney Half Marathons and 2 10k races coming up. The Disney Marathon weekend is next weekend. The Princess Marathon weekend is towards the end of February and the Star Wars Marathon weekend was originally set up as virtual and can be completed at any time from January-April.
My weight is officially below the 170 mark and held stead all weekend. I’m hoping to hit the 150 mark by the end of February.
I took the first weekend off from walking and got some work done on the house Saturday morning. I filled the recycling bin and dropped off bags and egg cartons off at Publix. Broke down a bunch of Amazon boxes and got those out. Did a lot of shopping and stocked up on things we’re getting short on at home….toilet paper, butter (we go through sooo much butter), cooking oil, onions etc. Picked up some foods for Gil…potatoes, cereal etc. It was nice to mix things up a little and take a break from spending half a day in the park, although I’ll be doing that again soon enough.
New Years turned into a train wreck and the ‘drug dealer’ neighbors were up well past midnight and one of their kids got a new karaoke machine for xmas. They woke me up out of a dead sleep. I called the cops and pissed the off. They of course, pissed me off more. Now I'm taking them on as a side project. I'm going to make their lives miserable for the duration of their time here. Neighborhood bullies have no place in a family neighborhood, especially when the bully is a 35 year old man that should know better.
