- Trump has Covid. Karma.
- I’m down to 187 lbs.
- Sunday I woke up to rain at 6am and rolled over and went back to sleep. Finally woke up at 7am and decided to do some computer work before everyone else woke up. It remained drizzly but not a lot of hard rain. I organized some photos to use on a photo slide show, a project that I’ve decided to do to help me learn the video editor program. I finally got up enough energy to go to the mall to do some laps and headed over to Countryside, I figure it was two stories, so it would be more interesting. It wasn’t, it was torturous. They have an ice cream store or a cookie store or a pizza store on every corner. I finally headed over to BJ’s because I needed keto food before I lost my self-control. They had a 20 minute wait, so I headed to the Dollar Tree and bought some beef/cheese sticks. It took care of the hungry and I bought extra to keep in my glove box. It isn’t the first time I was caught unprepared, but I should be set for a while. I did 2 miles at the mall before I gave up in search of food. After I ate some protein, and the rain wasn’t real bad, I decided to head a nearby park. I hadn’t been to the Philippe Park for a bit more walking. I forgot how nice that park was. Its not the best park for getting miles in, but still a nice park. I got some pretty pictures and read some educational kiosks and got another 2 miles in.
- I got another 7 day suspension from plasma donation because of my protein levels, so I’ve invested in some unflavored protein powder. I put it in my tea, I put it in my diet coke, I put it in my water, I put it in my vodka. I put it in everything. I’m going through my canister quickly and I may be over doing it, but I’ll find out next Saturday when I get my protein levels measured. As long as I can donate 2x a week, I should be able to track them. If it’s too high, I can cut back a little. Its flavorless and doesn’t have any texture, so its taken a lot of pressure off trying to eat more when I don’t want too.
- I rebooked our Shakespeare with a table for 4 on Oct 16, hopefully the weather will be better.
- I haven’t been wanting to walk much this week. I’m walking anyway, but not as fast and not as far. I’m continuing to do a mile at lunchtime, and with the little walking I’m doing in the evening, its keeping me from falling behind. I’m going to try to do 10 miles at Boyd Hill on Saturday, if my blister gets better, I need to increase my mileage if I’m going to do the half marathon in January. I know I can’t do the half in under the Disney timeframe but because I’m doing it virtually, I just need to get the miles, there is no risk of getting scooped by the looser bus.
- I also signed up for the Disney World Marathon weekend 10k & Half Marathon along with the Disney Princess 10k & Half Marathon. They are virtual, I won’t get t-shirts (unless I want to pay extra) but I’ll get a shiny medal and a bib and continued motivation to keep going. I thought I finished off my half marathon training forever 2018, but these virtual runs where I can go at my own pace are equally as addictive. I miss the excitement of the race and the Health & Fitness Expo. Its not the same, but its also about half the price without the shirts and the festivities. And I get more shiny medals and motivation to keep getting my steps in.
- Gil and I finished iZombie this week. It started out good, a basic crime procedural combined with a medical mystery. Both things I enjoy. But then it got into a lot of drama and politics and I didn’t love it anymore. The weatherman was always awesome though. I’m glad its done. Now we’ve started Dark Angel, which takes place way in the future of 2019, lol. Gil never saw it when it first came out and I always like some post-apocalyptic genetically mutated super soldiers that kick butt.
- I bought Gil and I tickets to go to the Halloween festival “Creatures of the Night” at the zoo this Saturday. No idea what it all entails. I’ve seen some of the décor that has been set up for it, but I’m sure its more than just added décor. But we’ll see.
- I’ve decided to start writing a book for Amazon, a collection of travel stories. I have so many stories that come up in conversation, but trying to sit down and remember them at will is difficult.
- I’m down 23 lbs. since I got back to Florida in March. I haven’t really made an aggressive attempt until the last 2 months, but its paying off. I’m loosing slowly and regularly. My clothing have started fitting differently and my calves are becoming solid. It’s a good feeling to have measurable, quantifiable results. Keto, once you are past the first 2 weeks is easy. The cravings go away, a routine is established etc. But those first 14 days are the hard park.
- We did the "Creatures of the Night" finally, it was cute. Nice Halloween decorations, people dressed up in costume, dancers and the Dinosaurs were open again. We learned they have a new baby rhino. I'm glad we have a membership and we can go back.
