Interesting things that happened this week:
- Bought a membership at the Lowery Park Zoo or as its been renamed ZooTampa.  Its one of the best zoo's in the country, heavily involved in the SSP (Species Survival Protection) program.  They assist with strategically breeding endangered species to help keep the blood lines alive.  They have a year old baby white rhino that is adorable.  We got stuck in a major storm on our way out.  We'd decided to check out the aviary before we left and about half way through, we got thunder that rocked the windows and sent small children into their mothers arms.  Gil took a few steps back and grabbed my arm.  It was super loud and very close.  You could hear the crack with the lightning followed by thunder.  We hid out in the little walkway with another family waiting for it to pass.  It was a fun first day at the zoo.  We'll be back often.  They have a bunch of "encounters" that are reasonably inexpensive.  So, we'll take our time and do all those.
- Started including Bree on hikes this week and started to expand hikes to the Largo area, they have a bunch of parks that are good for a short walk.  We will be exploring.
- Work wants me to start working from home, but I have to hardline into the internet.  That may or may not happen.  Trying to get a cable to the back bedroom may not be worth the frustration and could cause a tripping hazard for Gil.  I need to contact the internet provider to find out if I can have them make another cable for the back room.
- The new roommate wasn't worked for 3 weeks.  This may turn into an issue.

May has turned into a the beginning of the next stage.  We’ve been fully vaccinated and the world is slowly starting to open back up.  I’ve put together the Costa Rica trip, which is now taking place in August, as the airfare is much cheaper.  I was able to get it through SW and use my point, yay!  I’ve booked lodging for 11 days - $300 for the first 10 days and $100 for the last day, lol.  I could have gone cheap on the last day, I have places that I use close to the airport, but the name brand hotels next to the airport are usually really expensive and I was able to get one for $100.  We’ll have a full hot breakfast (included in the room) and a ride to the airport.  Our flight is at 8am, so I figured being really close and having that breakfast available would be worth the extra cost.  Plus, a pool, a bar and air conditioning will be nice as we wind up to go home.   I’ve rented a room in Paris for the month of November.  Th...

July started off with a bang – Hurricane Elsa came up the coast and after much tracking and work warnings, it did virtually no damage.  We barely even got any rain.  Based on the radar, someone was getting it, but it pretty much skipped over us. The weekend before the hurricane we were still getting a bunch of rain.  It limited what we could do and I know Gil likes to go out and do things on the weekend as he spends way too much time in front of the tv during the week.  So we went to a flea market in Lakeland that offered a free circus show and alligator farm on the premises.  The circus performed on two different stages at different times of the day and were basically just local performers with some skill.  There was a girl who had trained cats, a magician, a mime…they were all talented individuals but it was about what you would expect from a free circus.  Gil and I both took our turns to be photographed with a live alligator....

Corona US Cases August 30 - 5,893,373 Corona US Cases September 5- 6,141,077 Corona US Deaths August 30 - 171,588 Corona US Deaths September 5 - 176,942 Interesting Things that happened this week: - Got back on the walking wagon this week.  After two weeks of slacking, i got the bug back again.  I think with the plasma donation twice a week plus doing miles outside in Florida in summer, the hydration thing is taking its toll.  I try to hydrate all the time, but I don't think its enough.  Two weeks of not sweating my ass off on a semi daily basis has made me feel better. - Met with Bree at the Largo Central Nature Preserve again and we knocked out 3 miles there.  I did a little more after she left, but Bree kept up for 3 miles.  I think that was a little challenging for her but I'm excited she was able to keep it up.   - Headed...
