Interesting things that happened this week
- The trip went well but Xena didn't get along with Tree's dogs so we spent the entire visit on the porch and then X had to sleep in the car. I slept with her. I missed my mattress and blankets (it was cold) but we actually fit well in the back of the car together and its making me miss my vagabond ways.
- One of the neighbors at my parents property have a new puppy. It still has baby fur and is totally adorable.
- From my sisters house, we took the slow route south on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It rained most of the time. But I saw a BEAR! And lots of deer, a ground hog, lots of wild turkey. Didn't always get photos, but it was eventful.
- Hit Captain D's in North Carolina but the Lobster Roll promotion was over. They didn't have soup either. Tried their fish for the first time and it is better than Long John Silvers, so I'll eat there again, but won't go 30 miles off route to hit them.
- Some of the libraries are opening up, but the library closest to the house is still closed.
- I've gotten re-addicted to Gilmore Girls and I've decided to stop deluding myself that I'm going to get stuff done and I'm trying to burn through it quickly so I can work on other tasks.
- I miss carbs.
- I'm almost employed. Filled out the paperwork and pee'd in a cup. Now just waiting for the results of my background. My hours are 7:30am-3:30pm. I'm pretty sure they are punishing me for something.
- Took puppy to the dog park a couple of times this week, but we've been slacking on the neighborhood walks. As soon as Gilmore is over, I plan to remedy that.
- Coronavirus cases are spiking all over the state after the re-opening at the beginning of the month. June 16 saw a record breaking jump in cases with 2783 new cases reported and 55 new deaths. On June 17 another record high and on June 18 it broke all the records again. The 'new' record keeps being broken as new cases keep showing up. Restaurants and bars that had reopened with limited indoor seating have closed again as multiple employees are testing positive for Covid 19.
