- I bought an electric mixer and for the second attempt I made coconut macaroons. They were kind of stick, I think a little too much condensed milk, but they tasted fine.
- Protesters have been gathering to protest the lock down and social distancing. In Michigan they gathered in such a large group they blocked an ambulance from getting to the hospital. The hospital stated after the fact that the ambulance wasn't on an emergency run so no lives were put in danger. But no one at the protest knew that and it was just luck that the ambulance wasn't on an emergency call.
- I started my Route 66 book. It is going painfully slow. I'm super frustrated with the lack of information on historical buildings. If you own a historical hotel or restaurant, you should provide that history on your website, especially if you are part of a historic district or historic highway like Route 66. I'm tired of having a place on my list and having no information on it to know if its actually active during Route 66 years. Built in 1980 makes it old, but it doesn't make it part of Route 66 history. But I'm getting there.
- North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un or as I like to call him - Li'l Kim has apparently had emergency surgery due to a medical condition. There is a rumer floating that he is in grave danger. There is another rumer floating that he's already dead. North Korea is denying all of it, but Li'l Kim isn't saying a thing or coming out in public. I know that NK will need to be freed at some point but I really wanted to visit there while it was a train wreck of a circus. I figured I wouldn't get the chance until after Trump was out of office, since there has been some political line-in-the-sand issues between them. Now I'm wishing I would have done it before.
- Due to the 'most' of the world wide lock down, nature is healing itself. People are posting about dolphins and jelly fish in the Venice canals, kangaroos hopping down main street in Australia, and before and after photos of parts of the world that are undergoing major transitions as factories are shut down, flights have been canceled and cars are running at a minimum. Part of me thinks when this is over, we will go back to making everything dirty again. Part of me hopes that this situation will bring about changes.
- Matt got us AirWolf and we started streaming it this week.
- We made chicken and dumplings. Gil made the chicken and I made the dumplings. It was good.
- The US has been accused of stealing shipments of face masks from China...literally from the tarmac as shipments were being sent to Germany and France. Now they are being accused for stealing them from a shipment en route to Miami that was intended for firefighters. Miami has the largest amount of corona virus cases in Florida, but apparently they aren't allowed to keep their first responders safe. Shameful.
- Its now being suggested the US Disney Parks won't open until 2021. Disneyland Shangia started opening this week. The hotel, shopping district and they are preparing to open the park soon.
- I learned this week that Dolly Parton secretly produced Buffy the Vampire Slayer for seven years.
