March 5, 2020 - Disneyland

Fought our way through traffic for 2 hours to get back to Disneyland.  Have I mentioned I hate LA traffic?  We were able to get a boarding pass to the new Star Wars ride, which is a little different than fast pass.  We estimated our boarding group would get called later in the afternoon.  We checked periodically but spent lots of time in other parts of the park.  We really didn't do much but we did enough.  Gina wasn't feeling well so we did the basics and then headed out.

July started off with a bang – Hurricane Elsa came up the coast and after much tracking and work warnings, it did virtually no damage.  We barely even got any rain.  Based on the radar, someone was getting it, but it pretty much skipped over us. The weekend before the hurricane we were still getting a bunch of rain.  It limited what we could do and I know Gil likes to go out and do things on the weekend as he spends way too much time in front of the tv during the week.  So we went to a flea market in Lakeland that offered a free circus show and alligator farm on the premises.  The circus performed on two different stages at different times of the day and were basically just local performers with some skill.  There was a girl who had trained cats, a magician, a mime…they were all talented individuals but it was about what you would expect from a free circus.  Gil and I both took our turns to be photographed with a live alligator....

3-7-2021 Corona Cases      27,084,953 Corona Deaths       497,433 3-13-2021               Corona Cases         27,381,732 Corona Deaths      504,855     Interesting things we did this week Extended my birthday a few days…like I always do.  Took quite a few days off walking and off diet.  Did Sloppy Joes for lunch on Sunday (that was a bad idea, we’ll never go back) and had Thai food on Monday.  I really really miss Thai food.  I might do a Thai cheat day once a month and then go walk a million miles after.  I ordered a stupid amount of food: fresh rolls, krab rangoon, chicken satay, curry puffs, cashew chicken and pad thai.  Gil ate his half that evening, and it took me 3 meals to eat all mine.  It was soooo good.
