Route 66 Day 51 Nov 28, 2019
Thanksgiving day! Disneyland in the rain. I dressed warmer today and still have my umbrella and wore my waterproof hiking shoes, so I should be good. I wasn’t. It was cold, it was wet and I made the most of the day but I also skipped
things I would enjoy because of the weather. Also, Alice in Wonderland (my favorite Disneyland ride) closes when it rains and it wasn’t open all day. I did do quite a bit anyway, had a pretty full day. Checked out Star Wars Galexy’s Edge, rode all the classics
that Disney World has replaced. Rode Space Mountain for the first time in a very long time and enjoyed the new theming. Road the double decker bus. Had the smallest line I’ve ever seen for Nemo submarines. Had an insane line and no fast passes for Peter
Pan (everyone loves the Peter Pan ride). I didn’t ride a lot of the rides I’d normally ride, mostly because it was wet and cold and I learned my lesson from Cars the day before. Outside coasters in the rain aren’t fun. And unlike the day before, it stayed
rainy the entire day. I think I road the train 5x, just to be sitting down and in a dry spot. I enjoyed the 50th anniversary exhibit of the Haunted Mansion that was set up in the lobby of Abe Lincoln. I didn’t stay for the night show. I left
around 8pm…I’d had enough and I got my monies worth. Sat in the car with the heat running for a long time after.
